Recently as I was looking at the poetry books in the library, I came across a good book that I would like to recommend. "American Sonnets: An Anthology" is edited by David Bromwich. This book gives many examples of the sonnet form representing poets from throughout American history. Reading this work will acquaint you with some great poems and poets.
