If you've followed the blog for awhile, you know that most years I review a lot of dog, cat and animal books. I then give a yearly award to the best book in each category. This year, I didn't do many reviews, so there will be just one award. My Animal Book Of The Year Award goes to "The Speckled Beauty" written by Rick Bragg. It is a great book about a dog and the people who care about him. It is a story about how a dog helps a man and a man helps a dog. Rick Bragg is a great writer. The book is well worth your time.
